    Depending on the material thickness, shade and opacity of an indirect restoration, the amount of light reaching the luting composite can be significantly reduced. You should therefore make certain that the light unit emits a sufficiently high light intensity when curing through indirect restorations in particular. This is essential to ensure that an adequate amount of light passes through the crown or inlay to reach the luting composite and attain an adequate cure in the light- or dual-curing composite.
